Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Cup cooked chickpeas
  • 1/4 Cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cup tahini
  • 2 Small garlic clove, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons aquafaba ( water in which the chickpeas were cooked ).
  • Dash of chilli powered or paparika to serve.
  • Note: Aquafaba gives a creamy texture to the hummus. If you do not have it you can use cold water instead.

Tahini

  • 1 Cup dry roasted sesame seeds
  • 2 to 4 Tablespoons canola oil
  • Pinch of salt, optional

Process

  • Grind the dry roasted sesame to a powder then add the oil and blend it again for 2 minutes
    till it forms a paste
