Paneer Lasooni

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • 1 Tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 2 Small onion + ¼ cup chopped onion
  • 4 Medium tomatoes
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 Inch ginger
  • 1/4 Cup cashew
  • 1 Tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 Tsp turmeric
  • 1 Tsp red chili powder
  • 5-6 Dry red chilli
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1/3 Cup yogurt
  • 1.5 Tspkasturimethi
  • 1 Tsp garam masala
  • 150 Grams diced paneer

Process

  • Slice tomatoes into quarters. Heat desi ghee in a pan; add cumin seeds, whole red chillie, green cardamom, garlic cloves, ginger, cashew and chopped onion. Add ½ cup water and boil for 15 minutes
  • Add turmeric, red chilli powder and coriander powder to the cooked onion-tomatoes. Grind to a fine paste.
  • Heat desi ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, chopped garlic and chopped ginger. As the garlic turns brown, add the ¼ cup onions.
  • Add the paste to the sautéed onion stir and add yogurt kasturimethi and garam masala.
  • Now add the paneer cubes and cook for a minute on low heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot with naan or roti.
