  • 1 Cucumber, unpeeled
  • 1 Cup Hung Curd
  • 2 Large garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar or Lime Juice
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon minced fresh dill or Thyme


  • Grate the cucumber and drain the water completely
  • Combine the hung curd, garlic, oil, vinegar, and salt. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Transfer the grated cucumber and fresh dill to the curd mixture and stir to combine.
  • Serve chilled with pita bread for dipping.
  • Note: Straining yogurt reduces its lactose content and makes it higher in protein.
